Jane Miller: guitar and piano, arranger

From Janis: I met Jane Miller when I did a short residency at Berklee College of Music, Boston, where she’s a professor in the guitar department. A prolific author of music books for Berklee Press/Hal Leonard, she’s also a contributing editor to Acoustic Guitar Magazine. In her spare time (as though she has any!), Jane records her own CD’s, most recently 2018’s Boats. Her version here features not just gorgeous guitar work, but also her annoyingly good piano playing. Another wonderful example of the many ways one song can be interpreted!
BETTER TIMES WILL COME
(Janis Ian)
Better times, better times will come.
Better times, better times will come.
When this world learns to live as one,
oh, better times will come
When we greet each dawn without fear
knowing loved ones soon will be near
When the winds of war
cannot blow any more
Oh, better times will come
CHORUS
Though we live each day as our last
we know someday soon it will pass
We will dance, we will sing
in that never-ending spring
Oh, better times will come
CHORUS
