From Janis: Natalie Jackson is a singer-songwriter currently performing in Melbourne, while studying for her Bachelor of Music at Collarts. She’ll soon be releasing her first EP under her stage name, “jack”. (Don’t I wish I’d thought of that!) She sent me an email out of the blue, saying “My aunt tagged me in one of the covers on your page, and your initiative really moved me. The song stuck in my head, so today I finally sat in my room, safe from the rain, and poured a little of my heart out. I feel a lot better. I feel connected through all of these wonderful musicians and I just wanted to say thank you for holding the space that you do. I know I’m young, but I’m a big fan of your music and I’m just happy to be singing one of your songs.” Wow, I couldn’t ask for a higher compliment than that. Thanks, Natalie.

BETTER TIMES WILL COME
(Janis Ian)

Better times, better times will come.
Better times, better times will come.
When this world learns to live as one,
oh, better times will come

When we greet each dawn without fear
knowing loved ones soon will be near
When the winds of war
cannot blow any more
Oh, better times will come

CHORUS

Though we live each day as our last
we know someday soon it will pass
We will dance, we will sing
in that never-ending spring
Oh, better times will come

CHORUS
